Burning Tips

How to get the best out of your IWURI candle

Wax Memory:

  • First Burn: For the best results, burn your candle for 3-4 hours the first time you light it. This ensures the wax melts all the way to the edge of the container, setting the "candle memory."
  • Why It Matters: Setting the candle memory helps the candle burn evenly during future uses, preventing tunneling and maximizing burn time.
  • Maximum Burn Time: Never burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
  • Safety First: Always burn your candle on a heat-resistant surface.

Trim the Wick:

  • Before Each Burn: Regularly trim the wick before lighting your candle to prevent the wick from "mushrooming" and falling into the wax.
  • Why Trim?: Trimming the wick ensures a cleaner burn, reduces soot and black marks on the container, and extends the candle's burn time.

End of Candle Life:

  • When to Stop Burning: Stop using your candle when there is about 10mm of wax left at the bottom to prevent the glass from cracking.
  • Reuse the Container: Once the candle is finished, wash out the container with warm, soapy water and reuse it!
  • Time for a New Candle: Visit our website to order a new candle (or two)!
